This beautiful work of nature is unique in the animal kingdom in that the males actually brood the eggs and then give birth. The Giant Seahorse can reach a length of 12 inches! Their tail is used for grasping objects and for anchoring them in place, much like a monkey’s tail. They can live up to 200 ft deep in the ocean.
